November 11th here is a cookie day or something like that here in Korea. While Canada and the U.S. honour the people who died in wars, Koreans celebrate yummy sweet food. Since November 11th is on a Sunday, today many students brought the teachers presents. I've gotten presents before from students, such as coffee and cookies, but never so much. The majority of the gifts was Pepero, which is a Korean name for the Pocky sticks back home. We also got some sweet bread. I'm really impressed with how much they appreciate their teachers here. In the spring, there's a Teacher's Day when I can expect even more goodies. Can't wait!
